Passers of the March 17, 2019 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT), both Professional and Subprofessional levels, may already claim their Certification of Eligibility at CSC Regional Offices, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced.

The said examinations, held simultaneously in more than 60 cities/municipalities nationwide, yielded a total of 27,944 passers who are now included in the CSC’s Register of Eligibles.

The Certification of Eligibility, printed on CSC letterhead, should be requested at the CSC Regional Office (CSC RO) with jurisdiction over the examinee’s testing center. Passers must personally claim their certification; representatives are not allowed to claim it on behalf of the passer.

Former Sanggunian members have the option to continue serving in government with a Sanggunian Member Eligibility (SME).

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10156, otherwise known as “An Act Conferring upon Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Sangguniang Panlungsod and Sangguniang Panlalawigan the Appropriate Civil Service Eligibility under Certain Circumstances, and for Other Purposes”, dated 20 December 2011, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (CSC Resolution No. 1300486) which took effect on 1 May 2013, the SME is granted to the following Sanggunian Members:

Vice Mayor, as presiding officer for the Sangguniang Bayan or Sangguniang Panlungsod; Vice Governor, as presiding officer for the Sangguniang Panlalawigan; and regular Sanggunian Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Sangguniang Panlungsod, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

A total of 3,456 individuals are set to take the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE), Pre-Employment Test, Promotional Test, and Ethics-Oriented Personality Test (EOPT) in various locations nationwide on Sunday, 23 June 2019, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced.

In particular, there will be 3,222 test takers for BCLTE, 72 for the Pre-Employment Test, 153 for the Promotional Test, and 9 for EOPT.

The CSC reminds examinees to view their school assignments listed in Examination Advisory Nos. 8 and 9, s. 2019. Also, examinees are advised to conduct an ocular visit of their assigned testing venue at least one day before the examination to familiarize the school’s location, available means of transportation, route, and travel time considering the traffic situation.

Graduates with summa cum laude, magna cum laude, or cum laude honors or their equivalent may apply for Honor Graduate Eligibility (HGE), the Civil Service Commission (CSC) said.

The HGE is applicable to graduates of private higher education institutions in the Philippines from school year 1972-1973 and thereafter, with baccalaureate/bachelor’s degree recognized by the Commission on Higher Education, or state/local college or university with baccalaureate/bachelor’s degree included in its charter, or baccalaureate/bachelor’s degree duly approved by its Board of Trustees/Board of Regents.

Honor graduates from a reputable foreign school, as verified by the Department of Foreign Affairs through the Philippine Foreign Service Posts, may apply for the Foreign School Honor Graduate Eligibility (FSHGE), provided that they are Filipino citizens.
