A total of 3,456 individuals are set to take the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE), Pre-Employment Test, Promotional Test, and Ethics-Oriented Personality Test (EOPT) in various locations nationwide on Sunday, 23 June 2019, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced.

In particular, there will be 3,222 test takers for BCLTE, 72 for the Pre-Employment Test, 153 for the Promotional Test, and 9 for EOPT.

The CSC reminds examinees to view their school assignments listed in Examination Advisory Nos. 8 and 9, s. 2019. Also, examinees are advised to conduct an ocular visit of their assigned testing venue at least one day before the examination to familiarize the school’s location, available means of transportation, route, and travel time considering the traffic situation.

Gates of testing venues will be open to examinees starting 6 a.m. and shall close at exactly 7:30 a.m. Those who will arrive late shall not be admitted.

Examinees should bring an identification card (ID), preferably the same ID presented during filing of application. If the ID to be presented for admission is different from that presented during filing of application, the examinee must present any of the following accepted and valid ID:

Driver’s License/Temporary Driver’s License (LTO O.R. must be presented together with old driver’s license; O.R. alone is not allowed)/Student Driver’s Permit; Passport; PRC License; SSS ID; GSIS ID (UMID); Voter’s ID/Voter’s Certification; BIR/Taxpayer’s ID (ATM type/TIN card type with picture); PhilHealth ID (must have the bearer’s name, clear picture, signature, and PhilHealth number); Company/Office ID; School ID; Police Clearance/Police Clearance Certificate (with picture); Postal ID; Barangay ID; NBI Clearance; Seaman’s Book; HDMF Transaction Card; PWD ID; Solo Parent ID; Senior Citizen’s ID; and CSC Eligibility Card.

As a last resort, an expired ID may be presented for admission, provided that the expiry date falls from 1 January to 22 June, 2019.

The CSC will strictly implement the “No ID, No Examination” rule.

Aside from the I.D. card, examinees must also bring black ballpen/s, original of PSA/LCR issued birth certificate printed on security paper (only if the I.D. card has no date of birth), Application Receipt/CSC Official Receipt (only if available), and water or preferred beverage (except alcoholic beverage) placed in transparent container, and candies/biscuits, which shall be subject to inspection by the room examiner/proctor.

Only BCLTE examinees shall be allowed to bring a non-scientific and non-programmable calculator. Bringing of watch calculators, cellular phone calculators, and any other gadgets with calculator is prohibited.

Examinees are advised to bring ONLY the above specified items.

The CSC also reminded the test takers to wear proper attire on examination day. Sleeveless shirt/blouse, shorts/short pants, and slippers are not allowed.

The BCLTE, with 170 test items and 10 Examinee Descriptive Questionnaire (EDQ) items, will run for 3 hours, 30 minutes or from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m., except for the visually impaired and deaf/hard of hearing who will be given an additional hour, or from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to complete the test.

The Pre-Employment and Promotional Tests both have 100 test items and 10 EDQ items. Examinees will have 2 hours, 5 minutes or from 8:00 to 10:05 a.m. to answer the tests. EOPT takers will answer 210 test items for one hour, or from 8 to 9 a.m. As with the BCLTE, examinees of the Pre-Employment Test, Promotional Test, and EOPT who are visually impaired and deaf/hard of hearing will be given an additional hour.
