The Civil Service Commission (CSC) issued reminders for examinees of the upcoming Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) on Sunday, 20 August 2023.

“We urge all exam takers to check CSC Examination Advisory No. 8, s. 2023 regarding the school assignment and important reminders to ensure the smooth flow of our exam on Sunday. They may also check their respective school assignments online thru the Online Notice of School Assignment or ONSA posted on the CSC website,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

He added that following the lifting of the state of public health emergency in the country, wearing of face masks is now optional. However, individuals with comorbidities, pregnant women, unvaccinated and symptomatic individuals as well as the elderly are still recommended to wear face masks.

Examinees are reminded to be at the testing venue not later than 6:30 a.m., or as required by the CSC Regional/Field Offices concerned. The gates of testing venues shall be closed to examinees at exactly 7:45 a.m., and examinees who arrive late will not be admitted to take the exam.

The CSE-PPT will also strictly implement the “No ID, No Exam” policy. As such, examinees must present a valid ID card on examination day, preferably the same ID card presented during the filing of application.

If the ID card is missing or unavailable, the examinee must present any of the following approved and valid ID cards: Driver's License/Temporary Driver's License (LTO O.R. must be presented together with old Driver's License; O.R. alone is not permitted)/Student Driver's Permit; Passport; PRC License; SSS ID; GSIS ID (UMID); Voter's ID/Voter's Certification; BIR/Taxpayer's ID (ATM type/TIN card type with picture); PhilHealth ID; Company/Office ID; School ID; Police Clearance/Police Clearance Certificate (with picture); Postal ID; Barangay ID; NBI Clearance; Seaman's Book; HDMF Transaction ID; PWD ID; Solo Parent ID; Senior Citizen's ID; or Philippine Identification (PhilID) Card issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority.

In addition, examinees are advised to wear proper attire on examination day, preferably plain white shirts or tops. Wearing of sleeveless shirts/blouses, shorts/short pants, tokong pants, ripped jeans, and slippers are strictly prohibited. Long hair must also be tied.

Meanwhile, bringing the test booklet out of the testing room or venue is strictly prohibited. Examinees are also not allowed to bring with them to their seats electronic devices such as cellular phones, smart watch, or any other gadgets that can be used to capture an audio or video recording of any portion of the test materials or of the exam process.

A total of 373,636 individuals are expected to take the CSE-PPT on Sunday, with 328,772 examinees taking the Professional level and 44,864 examinees expected to take the Subprofessional level in various testing centers nationwide.
