ANNOUNCEMENT

 The Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE), Inc. will lead the celebration of the 34th Philippine Agricultural Engineering Week with the theme “Agricultural & Biosystems Engineers (ABE): Strong Leaders & Key Innovators Towards Sustainable Food-Secured Philippines” on the 4th week of April. This is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 399, s. 1989, declaring the last week of April of every year as Agricultural Engineering Week. The celebration will be highlighted by the conduct of the 19th International Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Conference and the 72nd PSABE Annual National Convention on 24-28 April 2023 at the SMX Manila, Seashell Lane, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

The celebration will include conference, plenary and technical papers presentations on the research, development, extension, and trends in renewable energy and rural electrifications; environmental and waste management; agricultural machinery; irrigation and drainage; soil and water conservation; postharvest and processing agricultural structures; fishery and aquaculture resources engineering; forest product resource engineering; and related fields.

The registration fee for the convention is Eight Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PHP8,500). All government employees particularly Agricultural Engineers/Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers are encouraged to participate. However, it is discretionary on the part of the agency heads to allow their employees to attend on official/business time, as provided for under CSC Memorandum Circular No. 43, s. 1993.
