The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released the list of testing centers and reminders relative to the conduct of the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) scheduled nationwide on 11 August 2024.

CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles urged the 358,651 candidates who will be taking either the Professional or Subprofessional Level exams to review Examination Advisory No. 11, s. 2024, and access their designated school via the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) available on the CSC website.

“The CSC, along with dedicated teachers and volunteer government employees, is all set to administer the CSE across 95 testing centers in 16 regions nationwide. All exam takers aiming for civil service eligibility are encouraged to familiarize themselves with their assigned testing venue and pay attention to all provided reminders. This will help maximize their chances of success and ensure the exam is conducted smoothly,” said Chairperson Nograles.

Examinees are reminded to be at the testing venue not later than 6:30 a.m., or as required by the CSC Regional/Field Offices concerned. The gates of testing venues shall be closed to examinees at exactly 7:45 a.m., and those who will arrive late will not be admitted to take the exam.

The examination venues will strictly observe the “No ID, No Exam” policy. Examinees must present a valid ID card on the examination day, preferably the same ID card presented during the filing of application. If the ID card is different from the ID card presented during filing of application, the examinee must present any of the accepted ID cards for the civil service exam.

The CSC reminds exam takers that the use of calculators in the CSE-PPT is not allowed. Additionally, using any other aids to answer the exam, such as watch calculators, tablets, books, and other materials or gadgets, is also prohibited.

Furthermore, bringing the test booklet out of the testing room or venue is strictly prohibited. Examinees are also not allowed to bring electronic devices to their seats, such as cellular phones, smartwatches, or any other gadgets that can be used to capture audio or video recordings of any portion of the test materials or the exam process.

Using any paper, body parts, clothing, or the side margins and back page of the Answer Sheet for scratch work is strictly prohibited. Examinees are advised to utilize only the designated spaces on the pages of the Test Booklet for any scratch work.

Examinees are also encouraged to use transparent bags for their belongings and to wear appropriate attire on examination day, preferably plain white shirts or tops. Sleeveless shirts or blouses, shorts, tokong pants, ripped jeans, and slippers are strictly prohibited. Long hair should be tied back.

Only black ball pens are allowed to be used in filling up the answer sheets; gel pen, sign pen, fountain pen, friction pen, or any other kinds of pen, including other colors of ball pen, are not allowed.
