Great news for government employees and the public—service delivery at the Civil Service Commission (CSC) is now faster, more efficient, and aligned with international standards, thanks to its newly earned ISO 9001:2015 Certification.

Awarded by TUV Rheinland Philippines after a rigorous audit in July 2024, this certification ensures that CSC’s key processes meet the highest global standards. It covers five core functions:

  • Civil Service Examinations – A more efficient and transparent testing system;
  • Appointments Processing – Faster approvals and streamlined recruitment; 
  • Learning & Development – Enhanced training programs for government employees;
  • Employee Organizations Accreditation – Strengthened policies for recognizing employee groups; and
  • Qualification Standards Evaluation – Clearer, merit-based criteria for government hiring.

Beyond these, the certification also applies to crucial support functions such as ICT maintenance, customer feedback management, human resource development, and internal auditing, ensuring that CSC operates smoothly and efficiently at all levels.

CSC Chairperson Marilyn B. Yap emphasized that the certification is more than just an achievement—it’s a responsibility:

“Hindi ito plake lang na isasabit sa opisina. Patunay ito na kaya nating iangat ang kalidad ng serbisyo sa gobyerno. Hindi dapat matapos sa pagkilalang ito—panindigan natin ito sa araw-araw nating trabaho para sa bayan.”
