Applications for the 2 March 2025 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Subprofessional Levels are set from 19 November 2024 to 3 January 2025, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced.
The CSE-PPT will be conducted in 92 testing centers across 16 regions nationwide to accommodate individuals seeking to be included in the roster of eligibles for first and second level positions in the civil service.
The CSC stressed that applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and that the CSC Regional Offices (ROs) or Field Offices (FOs) may stop receiving applications any time before the deadline once it has reached the target number of applicants.
In addition, CSC ROs and FOs will accept limited applications from 16 to 27 December 2024 to give way to the preparation and submission of year-end reports and program or project evaluation reports.
As such, applicants are advised to coordinate first with the CSC RO or FO where they intend to take the CSE-PPT regarding the available exam slots. The directory of CSC Regional and Field Offices is available on the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph.
Interested applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Filipino citizen;
- At least 18 years old on the date of filing of application;
- Of good moral character;
- Has not been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs; and
- Has not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government.
Applicants should not have taken the same level of the Career Service Examination, either through PPT or Computerized Examination, within three months before the date of the exam, or from 2 December 2024 to 1 March 2025.
Applicants who meet these qualifications, the CSC said, may apply for and take the CSE-PPT regardless of their educational attainment.

- Fully accomplished application form (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2023 – Career Service-Professional/Career Service-Subprofessional) available in CSC Regional/Field Offices, or can be downloaded from the CSC website and printed on legal size bond paper;
- Four copies of passport size ID pictures with handwritten name tag legibly showing signature over printed full name;
- Original and photocopy of any of the valid ID cards accepted for the civil service exam; and
- Examination fee of PHP500.
The CSC further advised applicants to coordinate with CSC ROs and FOs concerned regarding the specific mode of filing and corresponding procedures for applying per region.
CSE-PPT applicants are advised to thoroughly read Examination Announcement No. 9, s. 2024 posted on the CSC website for detailed information particularly on the complete specifications of the I.D. pictures, the list of accepted I.D. cards, and other information including testing centers.
The CSC reiterates that it neither holds any review class nor publishes and distributes any review material for the Career Service examinations.
In addition, the CSC does not accredit and has not accredited any individual, group, or review center for the purpose of producing/publishing and/or distributing/marketing/selling any review materials, and of offering and holding review sessions/classes to prospective civil service examinees.
The CSC cautioned individuals that availing of any such product or service shall be one’s personal option and accountability.
Further, the CSC does not grant permission to any individual or entity to use its name and logo for activities or online/social media promotions such as solicitation, recruitment, production of materials, and enrollment in review classes.
