The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for both Professional and Subprofessional levels will be conducted on 10 August 2025. The application period will run from 13 May to 11 June 2025.

To accommodate examinees nationwide, the CSC will administer the CSE-PPT in 95 testing centers across the country. The exam grants civil service eligibility for those seeking first- and second-level positions in government.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. CSC Regional or Field Offices may stop accepting applications before the deadline once their target number of examinees is reached.

Applicants are advised to coordinate directly with the CSC Regional or Field Office where they intend to take the exam to confirm the mode of filing and specific application procedures. The directory of CSC offices can be found at www.csc.gov.ph.

Basic qualifications for applicants are as follows:
• Must be a Filipino citizen;
• At least 18 years old at the time of filing the application;
• Of good moral character;
• Must not have been convicted by final judgment of a crime involving moral turpitude, or of disgraceful/immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or drug addiction;
• Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian government position.

In addition, applicants must not have taken the same level of Career Service Examination—whether through PPT or Computerized Examination—within three months before the scheduled exam date, or from 10 May to 9 August 2025.

For the complete list of requirements and step-by-step application procedures, interested individuals are strongly encouraged to read the official examination announcement posted on the CSC website.

The CSC reminds the public that it does not conduct review classes, nor does it publish, endorse, or accredit any review materials or review centers for the CSE. The Commission advises the public to be cautious and reminds examinees that availing of such services is a personal decision and responsibility.
