Per CSC Office Memorandum No. 29, s. 2018, work at the CSC Central Office, CSC Regional Office National Capital Region, CSC Regional Office IV, and the respective field offices under CSC NCR and CSC RO IV, is suspended today, 11 June 2018, effective 12 noon.
This is in light of the heightened heavy monsoon rains affecting Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The work suspension, however, will not automatically cancel scheduled activities such as training programs and meetings with other government agencies.
Regular work hours will resume on 13 June 2018 at 8:00 a.m. ###

More than 2,300 human resource (HR) practitioners are set to learn, discuss, and collaborate in the largest HR learning event for the government service, the 2018 Public Sector Human Resource Symposium, slated on July 18 to 20, 2018 in Davao City.
With the theme, “Achieving Breakthrough Results through Strategic HR”, the event will highlight concepts, perspectives, and insights in achieving breakthrough results that impact agency operations and delivery of excellent public service. It will also showcase and benchmark best practices and experiences of progressive organizations in achieving and pursuing continuous improvements.
Plenary speakers include international experts Phil Smithson, Managing Director of On-Off Group to talk about Design Thinking; Dr. Murli Viswanathan of Carnegie Mellon University, Australia to discuss Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Technologies for HR; and Dr. Jaclyn Lee, Senior Director, HR Resources and Data Analytics of Singapore University of Technology and Design to tackle HR Digital Strategy in the Workplace.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is all set to simultaneously conduct this year’s Fire Office Examination (FOE), Penology Officer Examination (POE), and Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) on June 24, 2018.
School assignments for FOE in Luzon are La Union National High School (San Fernando City, La Union); Cagayan National High School (Tuguegarao City); Pampanga High School (San Fernando, Pampanga); Batangas National High School (Batangas City); Bicol University-CIT, Bicol University-CSSP, Divine Word College, and Divine Word College-HS/GS (Legazpi City), Ramon Magsaysay High School (Cubao) and Don Alejandro Roces S&T High School (Quezon City); and Baguio City National High School (Baguio City).
For Visayas—Iloilo National High School (Iloilo City); University of Cebu-Main Campus (Cebu City); and Leyte Normal University, Eastern Visayas State University, Leyte National High School, and Sagkahan National High School (Tacloban City).
