Career Development Program and Succession Management

Career planning, career development and succession planning are integral components of an effective HRM.  Career plans provides people in the organization a sense of direction, access to career opportunities, and for them to be able to effectively pursue career progress and goals. While outlining career paths is vital, there should also be a mechanism designed to identify and prepare the next generation of leaders.

This three-day course aims to assist HRMPs and managers in helping employees craft individual career development plans, help them become career coach in honing employee’s skills and in exploring various career development opportunities.  Corollary to this, this course will enable the participants to install a program that will build a pool of potential successors and prepare the next generation of leaders, thus ensuring continuity and growth towards a high performing organization.

Knowledge Management for Leaders

As defined by Daven Port (1994), Knowledge Management is a process of capturing, distributing, and effectively using knowledge. Such knowledge is increasingly recognized as a critical competitive advantage and a driver of efficiency and effectiveness for all organizations.

This program demonstrates Knowledge Management as a tool which equips participants with varied approaches in using the organization’s information assets such as database, policies, procedures and expertise.

CSI Leadership Series: Leading Smart Organizations

The CSI Leadership Series is a learning and networking event held on a quarterly basis designed to inspire government executives, directors and managers to continually enhance their leadership effectiveness. It showcases the best practices of successful leaders and managers in both the government and the private sectors. It is based on the premise that an executive or manager has the power of influence and the capability to bring about significant impact on people and organizations especially on those they work with or whom they serve.

Workplace Learning and Development

This is a three-day course that shall enable middle-level Human Resource Management Practitioners to acquire the competency to enable their respective organizations to pursue strategic directions through the development of mission critical competencies. The course will provide participants with a systematic approach to managing workplace learning and enable them to prepare learning and development plan.

Recruitment, Selection, and Placement

This three-day course highlights the critical role of Human Resource Management Practitioners in the Recruitment, Selection and Placement. The course discusses the core principles, processes and practices of Competency-Based Recruitment, Selection and Placement System and will enable the participants to develop an effective recruitment system that will impact on the quality of acquired human resources in the organization.

Program/Course Delivery and Administration

This is a two- day course that shall enable Learning and Development Practitioners to deliver and administer the implementation of programs/courses from planning to the preparation of terminal reports. This involves: pre-course activities such as preparing course plans and budgets, organizing resources, coordinating with resource persons and participants and preparing learning materials; course proper activities such as establishing and managing the learning environment, linking modules and managing resource persons; and, post course activities such as administering evaluation instruments, closing the course and preparing a terminal report.

Women in Leadership Development

This program will help participants to think positively about developing leadership practices that are fitted to their organizational context.  It will provide them with the knowledge and mindset to overcome the challenges to further success and to increase their promotional opportunities.  Participants will be able to share their personal experiences to provide practical learning about leadership and how to navigate their way in complex executive/managerial roles.

Facilitators’ Training on Open Space Technology

This 2-day workshop introduces the benefits, principles and process of facilitating Open Space Technology (OST), a technique which enables facilitation of small groups with at least 5 participants to large groups with at most 2,000 participants grounded on the premise that the world is self-organizing.  Part of the workshop is gaining actual experience as a participant in an OST event.

This two-day course introduces the participants to Competency-Based Human Resource as a strategy towards integrating the various sub-functions of human resources management. Strategic Performance Management System

This is a three (3)-day course that will enable middle-level HR Management Practitioners to review their existing performance management system and rewards and recognition program and formulate a strategic approach to performance management. The course emphasizes the linkage between individual employee performance to the organizational performance through properly crafted SMART Objectives. The course also emphasizes the use of mentoring and coaching to monitor and continually improve performance.

The Strategic Planning workshop aims to enhance the competencies of managers and leaders in setting the organization’s strategic directions, aligning their unit-level operational plans with the strategic plan, and managing change. This is expected to contribute towards the improvement of the performance management and communication competencies of top and middle management, encourage them to work together as a team in setting and aligning the strategic and operational directions of the agency, and ensure an integrated planning culture within the entire organization. This training provides guidance, tools and techniques in replicating specific processes and sustaining productive interaction among critical stakeholders and process owners aimed at institutionalising a procedure for planning that can be periodically undertaken and improved.

Gender Sensitivity – Training of Facilitators

This workshop aims to enable prospective facilitators to gender sensitize their participants by being gender sensitive themselves. This is achieved by exploring and articulating gender issues, clarifying differences between sex and gender, revealing the roles of society and its institutions in perpetuating gender discrimination/bias as manifested through marginalization, multiple burden, stereotyping, personal development, and violence against women. The workshop also aims to equip prospective facilitators with presentation and facilitation skills to efficiently and effectively conduct Gender Sensitivity Seminar in their respective agencies.
