The CSC Logo
The CSC logo is made up of a solid green circle serving
as the
background. Inside the circle are interlocking but open-ended chains that weave
through white spaces. Done in double strokes, the chains provide symmetry and
balance to the whole design as they form themselves in to the unmistakable initials
the CSC Civil Service Commission.
All through the years of its existence, the Civil Service Commission
has undergone major evolutionary changes. Organizationally, it started as a Civil Service
Board then was reorganized into a Bureau. Today, it prides itself in being a Constitutional
body endowed with the attendant characteristics of autonomy, independence and
stability - all symbolized by the circle.
In all these changes, the CSC has proven itself equal to its tasks.
Its drive, dynamism and vitality - symbolized by the green color - have made the Commission what it is
today. These traits will inevitably play the same crucial role
of carrying the Commission through the years.
(The new CSC logo is the winning entry submitted by Edgar B. Santiago during the CSC Logo Contest
held from July 6 to August 14, 1981. The logo was endorsed by the National Historical Institute and was approved
by the Office of the President on January 19, 1982. It was adopted by the Civil Service Commission as its
official logo through Resolution No. 02-097 dated January 21, 1982 and through office circular
dated February 1, 1982.)
